The summer signing, who has nine goals to his name, limped off during the 0-0 draw at Lincoln City a fortnight ago, but boss John Still believes he has reaped the benefits from having a slight breather before Christmas.

He said: “Luke Guttridge, he’s all right.

“I think he was involved in all the Christmas games and we gave him a little bit of rest leading up to Christmas.

“That was something I thought was ideal and the right thing to do because it’s a long season.”

Neither Alex Lacey or Andy Parry are in contention for the clash, although Still is expecting the pair will be back shortly.

He added: “I think they’ll both train next week then we need to get them into some football.

“They’ll probably need two to three weeks which is why we’ve got the loans in to cover the period that they’re going to be unavailable, but they’ll be getting games in training and development games.”

One of Still’s selection issues will be who partners Steve McNulty in central defence and when asked if he knew who it would, Still smiled: “Yes, but I’m not going to tell you.

“Ryan (Inniss) is 18, but I want to see his birth certificate because he comes in and he’s a man.

“He orders people about, tells people what he wants, and has settled in terrific,

“Anthony Charles has had couple of games, he still needs games, but if he had to play, he probably could.”
