The 20-year-old had been at West Ham earlier in the season before starring at Kenilworth Road while on loan.

He then decided to leave Upton Park for good, joining Town on a permanent basis in March and helped them lift the Skrill Premier title.

Ruddock said: “I made the right choice because now we’re champions and we move into League Two.

“I didn’t really want to leave West Ham as I wanted to break into the first team.

“But the opportunity came and I signed for Luton and now I’m a champion.”

Just on what it was like to be part of the trophy celebrations in front of a packed Kenilworth Road, Ruddock continued: “You don’t win the league every season, so you’ve got to make the most of it.”
