The 22-year-old returned from his loan spell at Braintree Town this week and was a surprise inclusion on Luton’s bench by new boss John Still for the 1-0 win at lowly Stockport County.

Walker came on as a 76th-minute sub and admitted his time at the Iron had made him realise just how lucky he is.

He said: “I only played a few games there but it just opens your eyes up to how different the club is.

“I enjoyed it because it was playing games, but it’s just different to Luton Town, different club size.

“It does open your eyes up and make you realise how fortunate you are to be at one of the top clubs in the league.”
