Town boss John Still will look to start loaning out some of his fringe players after Luton went out of the FA Trophy on Tuesday evening, writes Mike Simmonds.

The likes of Scott Rendell and JJ O’Donnell are both expected to be sent out after recently returning to the club from recent spells at Woking and Hyde respectively.

They won’t be the only players departing either according to Still as he said: “I didnt (do anything) until the FA Trophy was over, as I wanted to see if I picked up any injuries in it.

“Scott will hopefully go out again and JJ, he’s done very well (at Hyde), so I’m happy for them to go out.

“There are others I want to go out now, they do need a little push in terms of, I’m not saying quality games, but real competitive first team games.

“Development games are great for getting you going and into your stride, but that competitive edge that first team games give you, is what they need.

“I’d like to get some people out and give them some games particularly the ones that have been out and haven’t played a lot of fotball this year.

“So, I’ll be looking to loan some more out now and we could actually see three or four extra players going out on loan too.”
