
The 26-year-old has six months to run on his contract and, despite being joint top scorer with 11 goals, has been left on the bench in recent weeks.
Speaking exclusively to the News/Gazette, Buckle said: “He’s still in the plans until the end of the season.
“The problem comes now in January, you’ve got four or five months left of your contract, so then you’re in a conundrum.
“It’s a difficult time at the moment in terms of whose future you secure.”
