Parking spaces out of action at Bedford Hospital's Cygnet Wing as work starts on two new theatres
From this week, the majority of public car parking spaces will be unavailable on Rye Close.
These spaces will remain out of action from Thursday (August 27) until summer 2027.
It’s so two new theatres can be created onsite, including a new dedicated maternity theatre.
Disabled parking bays will remain available, along with a very limited number of standard parking spaces.
Patients are being urged to be dropped off outside Cygnet Wing where possible or to use alternative parking at Britannia Road or Kempston Road car park.
