A1 northbound at Black Cat to close every evening for 11 NIGHTS as part of upgrade
Gird your loins as there more road closures as part the Black Cat upgrade.
National Highways is shutting the A1 northbound between 9pm and 5am at the Black Cat junction from tomorrow (Tuesday) until Friday, August 7.
It’s for the construction of the new central reserve as part of £1 billion scheme which will boast a 10-mile dual carriageway between the Black Cat and Caxton Gibbet junctions.
Diversions
Head west along A421 towards Bedford
Exit A421 westbound at Renhold interchange
Loop back on A421 eastbound towards Black Cat
