Jobs: Water opportunity!

Budding engineers and technicians of the future have the opportunity to tap into a career for life at Thames Water by applying to be one of the company’s latest recruits.

Thames Water wants to hear from dedicated people with an excellent work ethos who want to join its Mechanical and Electrical Apprenticeship Programme or the Process and Production Apprenticeship Programme.

Successful mechanical and electrical applicants will be enrolled in a four-year apprenticeship with on-the-job training from operations teams in London and the Thames Valley who are working on some of the biggest engineering projects in Europe.

Those with an interest in science and the environment will be enrolled on a three-year scheme, working at one of the company’s water or sewage treatment works.

Thames Water is the UK’s largest water and sewerage company, providing services to 13.8m people across London and the Thames Valley.

Nick Thompson, resourcing specialist at Thames Water, said: “Our apprenticeship scheme has been running annually for around 20 years and this year we have allocated 15 ‘earn while you learn’ places.

“This is an excellent opportunity for people to join a vibrant and diverse company.”

The closing date for applications is May 13. Visit www.thameswater.co.uk and click on ‘careers’ or call 0845 4607 305 to apply.
