The Hatters full-back didn’t train today (Thursday), but Still is confident he will be available for the weekend.

Still said: “Ronnie Henry has a little bit of a problem, I’m not exactly sure where.

“So he hasn’t trained today, but he’ll probably train tomorrow so I don’t really see that (being a problem).”

Left-back Scott Griffiths should be available to play after pulling out at the last minute before Saturday’s 1-0 FA Cup win at Woking.

Still continued: “He (Griffiths) had a little problem with his knee. He had felt it in training, but it had been OK. And on Friday it was fine, went out to warm up and was fine, but just done a little run and stopped sharp and he felt it.

“And we probably could have gone with it, but I think that sometimes you run the risk of it getting worse and fair play to him.

“It’s not easy to do it. He was big enough to say that this is a little bit of a problem so fortunately we were able to change.

“You want players to want to play, but I think it’s really mentally a big thing to put your hand up and say I’m playing I know, but I’m not right and come and tell you and that’s good.

“I think I’ve got an association for many years with Scott so it was something I would expect from him and something he did.

“He’s trained all week so he’ll come with us to Gateshead. We’re training at Leeds tomorrow, so I will have a look tomorrow and I’ll decide from that.

“If there’s an ounce of doubt, let’s give him a rest and I know he’ll be fine after that.”

But the game comes too soon for target man Jon Shaw and influential midfielder Alex Lawless who are still carrying knocks.

“Alex Lawless, who’s had a few little problems,” said Still. “The problems are coming because he’d had an injury that had kept him out for a while.

“Probably trying to push himself a bit too hard to get back and getting a few little injuries, that are not nasty injuries, but just halting his progress a little bit. So we might just slow him down a little bit.

“Jon Shaw once again a bit like Alex Lawless, he’d had an operation and pushing himself a touch too hard.

“We’ve tried to put the reins on, but fair play to the player they want to get fit.

“So maybe he’s just got to slow down perhaps just a little bit.”

Defender Danny Ftizsimons has been ruled out for the long term after undergoing a knee operation, keeper Elliot Justham and experienced defender Anthony Charles picked up knocks in Tuesday’s development game, while ‘tin man’ Alex Wall is making progress.

Still added: “Alex Wall, who’s once again had his problems, played an hour in the reserves on Tuesday, has trained today, so he’s OK.

“Charles played in the game Saturday. He played 45 minutes and only 45 minutes on Tuesday (development game) but he came off in that game.

“His hamstring was a bit sore and once again it was a case of a person being out for a long time and coming back. But it’s not terrible, so that’s no real problem.”
