The midfielder had been made available for loan in recent weeks, but came on against Lincoln City and helped swing the game in Luton’s favour.

O’Donnell made another cameo during Tuesday night’s 4-0 win at Woking, his 50th appearance for Town, as Still said: “JJ has been nowhere near it this season, nowhere near it.

“This last couple of weeks, his training has picked up, his ability in the reserve team games has picked up, and I reward people that work hard.

“I keep saying to people to show me it in training and I’m going to push them.”
