O’Connor is keen to remain on the spot for Town

CONFIDENT striker Aaron O’Connor ended Hatters hoodoo from the spot with an expertly taken penalty in Saturday’s 5-1 FA Cup win over Hendon, writes Mark Wood.

The 28-year-old attacker showed no nerves as he confidently fired home to the keeper’s left and he now hopes to keep the responsibility in the future.

He said: “I’ve never had a problem taking penalties before. I was penalty taker at Rushden.

“I said if I’m on the pitch and we get one I will step up and take it and was confident to score.”
