McAllister wants his own party as Fleetwood are crowned champions

WITNESSING Fleetwood being crowned champions on Saturday has whetted Town’s appetite to celebrate their own party at Wembley come May 20, writes Mark Wood.

The boot was on the other foot for striker Craig McAllister last season as he celebrated Crawley Town’s title in the 1-1 draw against Luton at the Broadfield Stadium and he admitted the reverse experience was not pleasant.

He said: “It’s not nice going somewhere when you are playing the side last game of the season who have won promotion. It was nice last year for us when we did it.

“We knew how difficult it was going to be coming here. They’ve obviously deserved the championship, but you know we’ll make sure we’ll go up.”
