Hatters likely to end interest in former Birmingham defender

Assistant manager Terry Harris has confirmed Town aren’t going to continue their interest in centre half Graham Hutchison, writes Mike Simmonds.

The former Lincoln City and Birmingham City defender played during Hatters’ wins over Biggleswade and Hitchin, but Harris said: “The lad Graham Hutchison from Birmingham, we may well not take that one further.”

However, ex-Leicester City midfielder Aman Verma may get another chance to shine after impressing in the Beds Premier Cup final win over Biggleswade.

Harris added: “Aman Verman, we’ll probably look at him on Thursday against Dunstable.

“That’s what these games are for, Dunstable, Histon, Thurrock. There are hundreds of players out there at the moment, lot of players without clubs.

“But you have to say are they better than what we have? If not then it defeats the object really, but we’re happy with what we’ve got.”
