Hatters hope to grow strong Oak from Hyde acorn

And following the success of it in the 4-1 defeat of Hyde last week, Sweet is keen to see it replicated again in the near future.

He said: “It was absolutely fantastic. It took memories back for me, just looking at the atmosphere there was terrific.”

It had been 22 years since Hatters fans last had the Oak Road end to themselves and it taken years of planning to make it possible again.

Sweet continued: “This has taken a good three, plus years to get through ultimately.”
