The Premier League is set to restart on June 17 with Manchester City vs Arsenal and Aston Villa vs Sheffield United the first two games to be shown.

Both fixtures are games in hand.

A full fixture list will then be played on the weekend of June 19-21.

Discussions are still ongoing between all clubs, but the BBC understands that an agreement has been met in principle by all clubs. There are still 92 fixtures to be played, and a full schedule is still to be agreed.

Earlier this week clubs agreed to restart contact training, moving on from non-contact training which had started the week before.

Four positive results were returned during the last round of tests on Premier League players and staff.

State of play

Liverpool are currently 25 points clear of second-placed Manchester City.

The league leaders need to win just two of their remaining nine games to clinch their first Premier League title in 30 years.

Leicester City and Chelsea occupy the remaining Champions League spots, while Manchester United sit in fifth place.

Norwich City, Aston Villa and AFC Bournemouth occupy the relegation spots, though the CHerries are on the same points as Watford and West Ham United.

The last action in the Premier League was on March 9, before the competition was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic on March 13.

The last game to be played was Lecester City's 4-0 victory over Aston Villa.
