Bedford pub to close on Monday for major refurbishment
One of Bedford’s oldest pubs is set to close on Monday (August 3) for a six-figure makeover.
But regulars won’t have too long to wait as The Ship, on St Cuthberts Street, will reopen later that month with a fresh new look.
The Greene King pub will retain all its historic character – but will be getting some modern-day comforts added to both the inside and outside.
It will also stay popular with sports fans, who can watch the action on Sky Sports and TNT Sports.
You can browse menus and book ahead via the Greene King app while you wait for it to reopen.
The pub will also be looking for more kitchen and bar staff, with full and part time positions available.
