Three arrested and suspected stolen motorbikes recovered in Bedford

A number of people have been arrested and suspected stolen motorbikes recovered as part of major police op in Bedford.
Officers have been targeting motorbike theft and anti-social behaviour, focusing in and around the town centre.
Over the last two weeks, a man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft after police seized a suspected stolen motorbike outside his home address. He was further arrested on suspicion of a second vehicle theft after another motorcycle was found which had been set on fire.
Two other people – a man in his 20s and a teenager – were also arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft and driving offences. They’ve all been bailed with strict conditions while inquiries continue.
Four more suspected stolen motorbikes were recovered during the operations, while a further motorbike was seized for anti-social riding.
In a post on social media, officers said: “We recognise the impact that vehicle theft and nuisance vehicles can have on both the safety and wellbeing of our communities. These proactive operations are just one part of our ongoing work to tackle this issue, disrupt those involved and keep people safe.”
