B&M creates 100 more jobs in Bedford
The company plans to give priority to those who have been affected by the pandemic
B&M has today (Friday, November 20) announced it's creating an additional 100 jobs at its Bedford depot - and will be giving priority to those candidates who have been affected by the pandemic.
The company says the new roles are perfect for those who have been furloughed by their current employer and are looking to take on a second job or, those who have lost their job due to the Covid.
The discount retailer, whose one million square foot warehouse is based in Wixams, will be hiring Bedford people for immediate start.
Job roles are advertised on the B&M careers website here and include picking, loading, unloading and FLT truck drivers.
B&M CEO, Simon Arora, said: "We can imagine the hardship being faced by those who have lost their jobs or have been furloughed due to the second government Covid-19 lockdown, especially in the hospitality and travel industry. Whilst our business experiences high demand, we're pleased to offer immediate job opportunities to some of those affected."
