Bedford builder named one of UK’s best in leading awards

Dan Jackson of David Wilson Homes South Midlands has been recognised as one of the best housebuilders by home warranty and insurance provider NHBC.

He has been named in the first round of NHBC’s Pride in the Job Awards 2020 for its site in the Bedford region.

Now in its 40th year, Pride in the Job is the most highly regarded competition in the house building industry.

Judging for the awards is rigorous, beginning in July 2019, with each site manager assessed across six key areas: consistency, attention to detail, leadership, interpretation of drawings and specifications, technical expertise and health and safety.

Subject to the team of judges being able to visit sites over the next two months, Dan will go on to compete for Seal of Excellence and Regional Awards.

NHBC regional director Toby Phillips said: “Pride in the Job has been pivotal in improving the quality of new homes for decades and it’s fantastic to be able to celebrate its 40th anniversary. Despite the numerous challenges the industry has faced in recent times, the very best site managers of 2020 have kept their focus on delivering high quality new homes for their customers.
