Sales for Amprocks on July 5 in Ampthill Park have “accelerated dramatically” in the past week or so with last year’s approximate attendance of 1,500 expected to be surpassed.

Indie stars Toploader are headlining the town’s big event, along with The Hoosiers and up and coming local act Skies On Fire; following last year’s successful lineup when The Feeling attracted a record crowd.

Amprocks spokesman, Andy Hampshaw, said: “Sales are going great but we will be limited to numbers so all we can say is, please and try and buy your tickets beforehand to guarantee your place at what will be another memorable night.

“We have been bowled over by the response; in fact it has been nothing short of stunning and we want to make sure everyone what wants to be there gets a ticket.”

Meanwhile, The Proms, featuring world-renowned operatic tenor Bonaventura Bottone, takes place the following night, which is expected to attract a four figure crowd.

Tickets for both are available from Waitrose and Dr Barbers or you can log on to www.ampthillfestival.co.ukFollow Amprocks on Twitter @AmpRocksLive
