Jack and the Beanstalk comes to The Place Theatre from 9th December

Fee, fi, fo, fum! I smell traditional panto with a contemporary twist from The Pantaloons!

Yes, we’re aware that didn’t rhyme or scan.

Anyway, all the ingredients are here for a hilarious horticultural adventure: magic beans, a comedy cow, a grumpy giant, audience interaction, a delectable Dame, slapstick, songs and very special effects**!

Bring the whole family and remember that the smallest dreams can grow into the mightiest feats.

**Temper your expectations

Firm favourites at The Place Theatre, The Pantaloons will be in residence once again this Christmas with their hilarious take on Jack and the Beanstalk from Wednesday 9th December – Wednesday 23rd December.

Tickets are expected to sell quickly so grab yours while you can.

New for 2026, The Pantaloons are also bringing Every Christmas Movie Ever to The Place Theatre on selected dates in December.

An Atlantic-spanning fairy tale of New York and London full of romance, magic, music, puppetry and all the big questions... Is the new business pitch really more important than spending time with family? Just who is that old guy with the white beard? Will the school nativity play be ready in time? And will those booby-traps be enough to see off the burglars? All these and many more painfully familiar questions will be answered in this treasure trove of tinsel-tinted tropes. Yule laugh, yule cry, yule cringe at the puns.

Every Christmas Movie Ever is on at The Place Theatre on 14th, 15th and 21st December. Book here
