The Vale-based racer will share the team's number 42 Audi R8 GT3 LMS for 2023 with Sennan Fielding.

An entry list for the new season of Michelin Le Mans Cup racing was released by the organising Automobile Club de l'Ouest on Monday afternoon, with the season of endurance competition set to start at the Spanish Circuit de Catalunya in April.

The campaign will mark Wood's first full season in international GT racing, although he is no stranger to major racing events, and brings to the Steller Motorsport team a wealth of on-track experience from many meetings such as Classic Le Mans and the famous Goodwood Revival.

Pre-season testing for Wood, Fielding and the Steller squad is set to get underway at Silverstone this week, with two days of action scheduled for the track's Grand Prix Circuit.

Sennan Fielding, Wood's team-mate for the year ahead, will line-up as the reigning British GT4 champion, a crown he claimed with Steller Motorsport during the final race of the season at Donington Park in October. 2023 will also be Fielding's first full international GT campaign, although he does have some experience of GT3 cars, having raced Steller's Audi R8 in British GT Championship races on previous occasions.

Eleven other GT3 cars will line-up for the full season of Michelin Le Mans Cup action, with Steller's Audi R8 LMS matched against Aston Martin, Ferrari, Honda, Lamborghini and Porsche entries. Additional GT3 cars will be included on the grid for Michelin Le Mans Cup 'Road to Le Mans' races at Le Mans in June for two special races that will support the 24 Hours of Mans during its special centenary event.

Speaking on Monday, Wood said, "I am delighted to be an integral part of this programme, particularly in the centenary year of the Le Mans 24 Hours and bring together a number of significant initiatives."
