Stewart given more time to shine by Hatters

Trialist Scottish striker Mark Stewart will be given more chance to impress during pre-season after showing some nice touches in the 1-0 defeat at Boreham Wood on Saturday, writes Mark Wood.

The former Falkirk and Dundee man was employed on the right for much of the first half at Meadow Park and boss John Still said: “Mark worked very hard when we were away. We will see how we go. Let’s get a couple of games into them and we’ll decide from there.”

Still revealed Stewart is currently the only senior player on trial, and although the Hatters aren’t desperate to add to their squad, there is one position the manager might like to bolster.
