Planned strike action suspended at Bedford Movianto NHS warehouse
Strike action by 120 Bedford workers at specialised medical warehousing company Movianto, has been postponed.
A spokesperson for Unite union said industrial action had been called off for 21 days to allow the workers to ballot on an improved offer.
The workers were due to take strike action from September 7 to October 7 over demands for paid breaks and increased wages.
Unite regional officer Jaswinder Singh said: “Following an improved offer from Movianto, Unite has suspended strikes in order to ballot the workers on the proposed deal.”

Movianto is a storage warehouse and distribution centre for medical equipment and medication, based at the Link Logistics Park just off The Branston Way, which supplies hospitals and pharmacies across the south of England.
