Men jailed after ‘sustained pattern of abuse’ against vulnerable Bedford victim
Two men have been put behind bars after targeting a vulnerable man for multiple burgleries and robberies.
Jarrett Johnson, aged 34, of Victoria Road, Bedford and Leon Lendor, aged 40, of no fixed address, both began stealing from the victim after initially meeting him to supply him drugs.

The victim’s Bedford home was broken in to mutliple times – and during one burglary he was strangled with a bag strap.
He was also repeatedly punched during one of the attacks, which all took place between July and August 2025.

And on July 30 Johnson tried to steal his bag, ending up dragging him along the floor and hitting him with a metal pole.
Among the things stolen were sentimental family jewellery, watches, ear pods and a tablet.
PC Chloe Lavery from Bedfordshire Police, who investigated the case, said: “Johnson and Lendor carried out a sustained pattern of abuse, burglary, robbery, and assault against the victim over several weeks.
“He described being physically assaulted on several occasions, including being dragged across concrete, strangled with a bag strap, punched in the head, and threatened with weapons such as a bike pump and baseball bat.
“The incidents have caused the victim deep emotional distress, with the repeated targeting having left him feeling fearful, humiliated, and unable to go out at night.
“Drugs can fuel wider violence and criminality. While these offences do not pertain specifically to the supply of drugs, they are central to the dangers that this lifestyle can lead to. We will always take any reports of aggravated robbery and burglary seriously and I am pleased that the court has imposed such strong sentences.”
Following a trial, Johnson was found guilty of three counts of robbery and one of burglary.
Lendor was found guilty of two counts of burglary, two counts of robbery and one count of going equipped.
At Luton Crown Court on Wednesday (September 16), they were both sentenced to a total of 13 years' imprisonment with a further five years on licence. They were also handed an indefinite restraining order against the victim.
A third male, Daniel Taylor, 34, of De Havilland Avenue, Bedford, was also sentenced to 40 months in prison and handed an indefinite restraining order against the victim for his role in one of the burglaries.
