Bishop’s tribute to the Archbishop of Canterbury
The Rt Revd Dr Alan Smith, who is Bishop of the Diocese of St Albans which includes Bedfordshire, made his comments after the archbishop announced he was to step down.
Dr Rowan Williams became Archbishop of Canterbury in 2002, and will continue in the role until December.
