When will the bins be collected over this year’s festive period?

Bedford Council have confirmed that there will be no bin collections on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year’s Day.

The collection schedule will be slightly different up until Monday 13 January, at which point the normal service will resume.

As the replacement dates will vary to some defree from place to place, Bedford Council’s website allows residents to easily find out when theirs will be.

Just punch in your address to find out exactly when your bins will be collected over the festive period. You can also download a full calendar of collection dates for next year.

How else can I find out?

If you are feeling more old-school, a physical copy of both the Christmas schedule changes and the 2020 calendar will also be distributed to all residents.

A tag will be attached to the handle of each home’s bin with all of the information.
