Bedford Tesco recalls contaminated salad over E.coli fears with 48-hour isolation warning

Tesco is pulling it’s own brand Finest mozzarella pearls & pesto orzo salad over possible contamination with E.coli.
The recall affects the 215g pack size with a use by date of August 25, 26 and 27 of this year.
Symptoms include severe diarrhoea with or without blood in the stool, abdominal pain, vomiting, dehydration and sometimes haemolytic uremic syndrome – a serious condition which can lead to kidney failure and can be fatal.
In a joint statement with the Food Standards Agency (FSA), a spokesman for Tesco said: “If you are experiencing these symptoms, you should stay away from work, school or nursery until you have stopped having symptoms for at least 48 hours to avoid passing it on to others.
"If you have bought the above product do not eat it. Instead, return it to any Tesco store for a full refund.”
There are Tesco stores in Cardington Road, Riverfield Drive and Coniston Road, Flitwick – as well as Tesco Express shops in Midland Road, Ford End Road, Brickhill Drive, High Street, Clapham, Beauvais Square, Shortstown, Cause End Road, Wootton and Bedford Road, Kempston.
