Figures from Public Health England show a breakdown of new Covid cases in Bedford in the week leading up to October 15.

Only nine wards have had an increase and – encouragingly after last week – cases have plummeted in Wyboston, Great Barford & Cople.

However, in the space of seven days, cases have doubled in Clapham, Oakley & Thurleigh and have risen sharply in Putnoe as well.
