For the seventh year running, the charity teamed up with the Royal College of General Practitioners for the Excellence in Disability Care award, which rewards practices that have gone out of their way to make sure their disabled patients receive high quality care.

Awardjudges are particularly interested in surgeries that go the extra mile, fulfilling not just their legal obligations to make their service accessible to disabled people, but being genuinely inclusive as well.

If you think your GP’s surgery deserves recognition for the services they provide for disabled people the nominations are open until Friday 6 January. You can go online to download a form at

A form can also be posted to your home - just call 020 3188 7400 and choose extension 7534 or 7537. Alternative formats are also available.
