Bedford's Goldington Green Academy joins HEART Academies Trust

The academy has officially joined the trust which it says will strengthen education for children.

In a joint statement, it’s hoped the move will bring Goldington Green Academy into a family of schools committed to high standards and improvement, while allowing it to retain its own identity.

And it added the school will benefit from shared expertise, strong governance and access to wider professional development opportunities for staff.

David Morris, CEO at HEART Academies Trust, said: “We are delighted to welcome Goldington Green Academy into our trust. This partnership is built on shared values and a mutual commitment to providing the very best education for every child. We look forward to working closely with the school’s staff, pupils and families as we move forward together.”

Caroline Skingsley, headteacher, added: “Joining HEART Academies Trust is an exciting step for our school. This partnership will allow us to build on our strengths, learn from other schools within the trust and continue to deliver a high-quality education for our pupils, while remaining firmly rooted in our local community.”
