Bedfordshire firefighters share safety advice at Bedford's Festival of Lights
Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service's prevention team joined celebrations at Bedford's Festival of Lights to share fire safety advice with visitors.
The event, which has been hosted by Bedford's Indian community for 16 years, brought together people from different cultures and backgrounds to celebrate Diwali.
Fire service staff offered advice on safe cooking, the use of candles and diyas, and the importance of working smoke alarms.
Community Safety Officer Stacey Lopes Moore said: “Events such as these provide a valuable opportunity to connect with local communities, raise awareness of fire safety, and help keep people safe while celebrating cultural traditions.”
