Big stars and clothes channeling 80s spirit

Eighties fever is set to fill this weekend with a retro music line up not to be missed.

Stars at the gig include Sister Sledge, Rick Astley and The Real Thing, performing in the picturesque location of Campbell Park in Milton Keynes for 80s Lineout.

Other acts on stage at the Marquee Arena will include Los Pacaminos, featuring Paul Young and Katrina Leskanich of Katrina and The Waves.

The event, from 4pm on Sunday, October 4 is part of rugby’s biggest year for Milton Keynes’ involvement in the Festival of Rugby 2015.

Briony Fox, head of community engagement at The Parks Trust and Festival lead co-ordinator said: “We want people to relive the 80s, think big hair and shoulder pads.

“Dance the night away to some of your favourite 80s acts, in the beautiful setting of Campbell Park. We have a line-up not to be missed.”

People are encouraged to dress in favourite 80s attire, so bring out the fluorescent gear, big hair and shoulder pads.

Entrance to the gig opens at 4pm and the acts are set to start at 5.30pm.

The compere for the retro musical extravaganza will be Stoke Mandeville Hospital Radio presenter Dez Kay, who compered the all-day live outdoor music event, Live in the Park, at Vale Park in Aylesbury.
