Bedford Hindu Temple hosts free celebration of Indian culture
Bedford Hindu Temple is bringing the community together to celebrate its fifth anniversary.
Residents are invited to enjoy a day of Indian culture on Saturday October 3, at Clapham Village Hall, from 6.30pm.

Visitors can experience Indian music, dance and sumptuous food.
The Bedford Hindu Temple and Community Trust provides classes in Indian languages, music systems and classical dance. The team also visits school pupils to speak to them about the Hindu religion, customs and festivals. Significant visitors to the temple have included the mayor of Bedford, the Lord Lieutenant and the High Sheriff.
Trustee and events coordinator Banumathy Murali said: “We want to show the community what we celebrate back home at the festival. All the people from Hindu community will show their talent and culture through food and traditional clothing and there will be children playing traditional instruments and dancing, it will be a real mix of festivities.”
