20 flats were affected by the explosion

Bedford Today has been given video footage of the aftermath of the fire at Redwood Grove this morning.

Christopher Keen was on hand to shoot the footage which shows the destruction at the three-storey block of 20 flats.

Two people have been taken to hospital – one with serious injuries who has gone straight to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge.

Pupils from Shackleton Primary School in nearby Pearcey Road were also sent home as a precaution.
