Bedford author launch with Close Encounters comic shop
The launch is on Saturday 20th June.
Close Encounters in Bedford is inviting readers and comic con fans to celebrate the launch of Georgia Bowers’s book, Foes and Cons, and get a free exclusive print with a purchase of the book from the store.
The book - a rom-com for ages fourteen and over - follows super-fan Eliza Gellar who is thrilled to be at the Vampire Falls convention celebrating her favourite TV show. That is, until her ex-best friend Charlie shows up, and Eliza finds herself competing against him for the ultimate prize: tickets to San Diego Comic Con. Will Charlie ruin the one weekend Eliza lives for, or is that bubbling feeling in the pit of her stomach not actually hatred after all?
The launch is on Saturday 20th June, starting with Georgia chatting to author Sarah L. Miles about the book at 2pm at Bedford Central Library, then signing books at Close Encounters, Allhallows at 3pm. Anyone who buys a copy of Foes and Cons from Close Encounters on the day will receive a free print featuring original character art by a local artist, while stocks last.
It's free to come along, but please book your place in advance at foesandcons.eventbrite.co.uk
