Audiences can have an out of this world experience with the latest black comedy being served up by Soup Theatre.
Following their sellout show last year at The Place Theatre, They Came From Earth, is coming to UOB Theatre at the University of Bedfordshire.
Set in 2054, it tells the story of John who, a week before his 30th birthday, buys two tickets for Interstellar Luxury Travel, a holiday company that specialise in luxury cruises in space.
While unsuspecting girlfriend Nancy is looking forward to a holiday in the sun, the pair will set off on the biggest adventure of their lives.
Soup Theatre is in its second year as a company formed by two current Bedfordshire University students – Steve Loczy and Sian McBridge – who are studying BA Theatre and Professional Practice.
They decided to start working as a company to help secure a future in the competitive theatre arts industry.
This is their fifth show and is a nod to all the B-movie and sci-fi classics.
They Came From Earth is at the UOB Theatre, Bedford Campus, Polhill Avenue, Bedford, on Tuesday, April 28 from 8.30pm.Tickets are £5 or £3 concessions, available on the day from the theatre’s box office.
