A chocolatier to royalty is among the attractions at a special Christmas fair in Bedford on Saturday.
British Red Cross Bedfordshire is holding the event in The Great Hall at Bedford School, Burnaby Road, with festive fun aplenty.
The award winning Aneesh Popat will be providing demonstrations and chocolate tastings. Aneesh has showcased his creations at Michelin starred restaurants and to royalty.
Born in Britain and Indian by heritage, Aneesh has fused his mastery of Eastern spices with Western influences, as reflected in his chocolate creations which range from rose and cinnamon ganache to his chilli and lime truffle. His love for science has led him to apply both his mathematical and scientific backgrounds to create unique and experimental flavour combinations.
Aneesh’s chocolate truffles are made with water, with no cream or butter. cream and butter. The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi is among his clients, while his chocolate is stocked by the likes of Selfridges and Harvey Nicholls. He supplies chocolates to five Michelin-starred restaurants in London.
There will also be book signings by author Sophie Neville, and The Bedford School Preparatory and Pilgrims School choirs will both be performing festive songs and carols.
And joining in the fun will be a range of stalls selling an array of fun and unusual wares, including headwear, jewellery, Christmas ornaments and Central American fashions.
The fair runs from 10.30am to 4pm.
