Classic car show to raise cash for international charities

The Rotary Club of Luton Someries is to host its first-ever classic vehicle show at Pulloxhill.

The event is organised in conjunction with the Luton and Dunstable MG owners and takes place on Sunday.

The event will showcase many varieties of vehicle, including cars such as Ford Model T, MG, Jensen, Mini, Minor, Figaro, motorcycles, tractors and more.

The show will take place on the Pulloxhill Showground to the rear of the Cross Keys pub,in Pulloxhill from 10am to 4pm.

The event is signposted from the A6 and from the A507. Entry for visitors is only£5 per car with up to five occupants.

Someries Rotary Club President Steve Pattenden said: “This is our club’s first major event of my presidential year so we all look forward to a fine day weather wise and an enjoyable day out for all the family. “

There will be a variety of charity stalls, auto-jumble stalls, ice cream, fish and chips, licenced bar, photographer and more. Steve added: “My team are grateful to Paul Meads, whose family have run the Cross Keys since 1970, for his help in staging this event.”

All funds raised will be go to Rotary charities including End Polio Now, Water Aid, Shelter Box and many others.

Locally the Rotary Club organises careers mentoring, kids out and seniors out and help with Home Library Service.
