Tom Grennan tops official albums chart with new LP Evering Road

The Bedford singer songwriter has the UK’s new best-selling album.

Tom Grennan has topped the UK’s Official Albums Chart with his new album Evering Road.

The countdown of this week's best-selling albums, as collated by the Official UK Charts Company, took place today on BBC Radio 1, with presenter Scott Mills revealing the new number one.

Released last week, Evering Road is the follow up to Grennan’s 2018 album Lighting Matches.

Evering Road features the singles Let’s Go Home Together, Little Bit Of Love, Amen, Oh Please and This Is The Place.

It was named after the East London address he shared with his then-partner.

Grennan recently announced six performances across three days at Esquires in Bedford in August which he will play before heading out on a full UK tour later this year in September and October.

Grennan’s debut Lighting Matches was one of the Top Ten best-selling debuts of 2018 and has amassed more than a quarter of a billion streams.

Following its release, he went onto play sold out headline shows while winning over thousands of fans with performances at major UK festivals including Reading & Leeds, Isle Of Wight, TRNSMT and Latitude and others.
