Tom Grennan will return to Bedford for hometown performances in August.

Singer songwriter Tom Grennan will now play four homecoming shows at Esquires in August after tickets for two performances which went on sale this morning sold out in three minutes.

Yesterday, the venue announced Grennan would return on Saturday, August 14, to play a matinee and evening show.

However, after tickets for both sold out in minutes, two more performances the following day, Sunday, August 15, have been announced.

Tickets for the Sunday matinee and evening show show go on sale at 5pm on Tuesday, March 16, with ticket bundles available from £10.50.

Tickets will again be available from via Crash Records' online store.

The shows are ‘all ages’ gigs but under-16s must be accompanied by an adult.

Grennan released his second album Evering Road last week and the record is currently number one in the mid-week album charts.

The UK’s official number one is revealed by the Official UK Charts Company and BBC Radio 1 on Friday afternoon.

Grennan’s return to Esquires comes ahead of a UK tour throughout September and October which will include his biggest ever UK headline gig at London’s Alexandra Palace.

On Monday, Facebook picked Grennan as its Artist Of The Day, with the singer songwriter sharing a stripped back version of Little Bit Of Love on the social network.

This follows Sunday’s performance on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch.

In October last year, he headlined London’s O2 Academy Brixton for a second time, with a live streamed virtual gig.

Through the lockdown, Grennan has continued to use his platform and voice to give back to his community, promoting positive mental health through acts of kindness.

He was recently announced as the UK face of Tommy Hilfiger's Moving Forward Together campaign and has also lent support volunteering with the Bedford Foodbank.

Evering Road is the follow up to Grennan’s 2018 debut Lighting Matches.

It is named after the East London address he shared with his then-partner.

The album was one of the Top Ten best-selling debuts of 2018 and has amassed more than a quarter of a billion streams.

Following its release, Grennan went onto play sold out headline shows while winning over thousands of fans with performances at major UK festivals including Reading & Leeds, Isle Of Wight, TRNSMT and Latitude and others.
