The free two-day event returns to Bedford on Saturday, July 18, and Sunday, July 19, and Bedford Borough Council has lots of activities planned.

On the water there will be dragon boat and raft racing, river parades with over 100 boats and water sports demonstrations. The council has lots planned for the embankment as well, including a funfair, music, entertainment, stalls, sports activities, hovercraft rides and fireworks.

"We know that people come back again and again to the River Festival, so we work to keep the old favourites and well as always looking to bring new things for visitors to see and do.

“There will be more announcements as we get closer to the big weekend, so keep an eye out for updates and get planning your River Festival weekend.”

The River Festival is a community event, with clubs, groups, and companies coming together to take part in the activities throughout the weekend.
