Unsigned soul artists, R&B acts and rappers are going to get their chance to shine at Esquires in Bromham Road at part of a new event - called Buzznight.

Hosted by BuzzBeatzBars, it's a network for upcoming musicians and artists to connect in the town.

The first event was launched back in November as a trial run with five acts - and on February 5, eight artists will showcase their talents - including Naturally Linked Souls (NLS), Kimo, Whisperz, Roxze,Life of Remedy, Bishop and Bulk.

Luke Masih, from BuzzBeatzBarz, said: "We have links to recording studios and we want to turn this into a real scouting event, so there is a real incentive for talent.

"Building the growing network has allowed new and more established artists to connect, sharing industry advice and helping each other along the way. We also have the advantage of having multiple local studios for artists to work from creating a high standard of music.

"It's great to see so much local talent in one room each time we meet, and more importantly every is in support of one another."
