Tour joy for Hannah at Bedford Golf Club

The Bedford Golf Club provided a superb test for the second round of Shires Junior Golf Tour as a field of 110 youngsters battled strong winds on Easter Monday.

With the heavy rain clearing up well before the opening group teed off, the softer course conditions proved perfect for the competitors in the Bronze Division in particular as five players grabbed at least 40 points.

Hannah Talbot was victorious with 43 points as she nudged one ahead of Lucas Bickers, Owen Watts beat James Daulby on countback in the Silver Division with 38, while Luis Witherall took the Gold Division honours on 34.

Lottie Heaver bagged a magnificent tally of 32 points over nine holes to secure top spot in the Copper Division by three from Harry Howell. Home club member Dillon Basi was one of three players to card the joint third best score of 27 points.

Finn Dobson made a successful debut in the Diamond Division as his score of 36 points nudged him one ahead of Jadon Pham.
