Bedford Tigers won their first piece of silverware since 2007 by lifting the East RL Community Challenge Cup at the weekend after a convincing 48-4 win over Kings Lynn Black Knights.

They then assumed control as Tom Albone dotted down, followed by Paul Ryder, with Rob Ashton kicking two conversions for a 16-4 interval lead.
In the second period, Bedford ran riot as Khrys Speed burst clear to score, with Jock Marshall and Ollie Fountain also on target.
Ryder capped his man of the match performance with two more tries of his own as well as an incredible assist for Will Norford.

“Our attitude was spot on and the boys put everything into it he game.
“For the guys who have been around this is just reward for all their efforts.”
