All bar two of Bedford Blues’ fixtures in the 2015/16 Greene King IPA Championship will take place on Saturdays with a 3pm kick-off.

The only league games which fall outside of the time slot will be against Rotherham Titans, which will kick off at 7.45pm on Friday, October 16, and a holiday fixture versus London Scottish on New Year’s Day at 3pm.

Bedford Blues Chairman Geoff Irvine, said: “We have always been a strongly traditional club and like to see as many games as possible taking place at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon.

“We will host one league game on a Friday night against Rotherham and I hope that this will prove popular with our loyal fans while we will also kick off 2016 with a Bank Holiday encounter at 3pm.”

While all fixtures across the Greene King IPA Championship are being confirmed, the Blues would like to highlight two away trips which are always well attended by fans but are also two of the longest journeys for followers to make.

Bedford will be travelling to Jersey on Saturday, October 10 for a 2.45pm kick-off against the Islanders while on Sunday, November 29, the Blues will travel to the Mennaye Field to face Cornish Pirates at 3pm.

Trips to both of these fixtures along with all pre-season, league and cup games will be arranged by the Bedford Rugby Followers Association. Visit for further information on away trips.
