Unbeaten London Welsh team to face Bedford Blues

London Welsh make three changes for Saturday’s Round 10 Greene King IPA Championship fixture with Bedford Blues at Goldington Road on Saturday.

Justin Burnell’s side made it nine wins from nine last weekend with a 24-8 win at Moseley, which moved the Exiles nine points clear at the top of the table.

All of the changes come in the forwards, as Burnell keeps faith with the same backline that beat Moseley at Billesley Common.

Nathan Morris comes into the side at hooker, while there are two changes in the back row. Richard Thorpe returns at blindside flanker with Daniel Browne moving to number 8.

When the sides met on the opening weekend of the Championship season Welsh came out on top 23-14 at Allianz Park. Will Robinson, Joe Ajuwa and Morris the Welsh try scorers that day, with Gordon Ross kicking eight points.

Welsh’s last visit to Goldington Road came in May 2012 in the 1st leg of the Championship semi-finals. The Exiles winning 13-3 with Hudson Tonga’uiha crossing for the only try of the game.
