George claims Bedford & County golf crown for the fourth time
After round one, Garnham was in the lead scoring 71 – one over par – his nearest two rivals being seven over par.
On Sunday, nearest rival Nick Duffield shot a fine level par round of 70 but Garnham did one better with a 69 – finishing as club champion for the fourth consecutive year on level par after the two days of play.

Hide AdThere was to be a new name on the nett trophy though as honours went to Steve Herbert with a nett 137 – runners up Nick Duffield and third-placed Ross Kilroy both had nett 139.
It was a great week for Liz Arden as she claimed two trophies. In the Eclectic Cup she came down to 62.7 – well ahead of her nearest rival, Linda Stock who had 66.5.
In the Hunt Cup, Arden was also on excellent form with a nett 66 while her nearest rival, Lucinda Holden, was on nett 74.
