The Kevin Mills Racing driver stormed into the race weekend claiming pole in the qualifying sessions recording the fastest lap time of 53.262s. He then went on to secure his third victory in Race 1 in what was described as a ‘sensational’ race. Having started on pole, Walker was passed by Chris Middlehurst on lap 1 with Walker sitting on Middlehurst’s tail until lap 13 when he found a way past.

Middlehurst eventually managed to claim back his lead however on lap 19 the red flag was raised meaning the race result was called at lap 18 when Walker was in the lead by 0.088s.

Race 2 started in much the same way as Race 1 and was an extremely close race for the top three, with Walker in second position, and just three tenths of a second between them in the closing laps, although it was Middlehurst that crossed the line first.

Walker’s third win in four races means he maintains his place at the top of the Championship leader board setting him in good stead for the next race at Silverstone.

Commenting on his latest victory, Walker said: “I’m thrilled I’ve been able to maintain my number 1 position on the Championship leaderboard. Qualifying on pole in Race 1 almost a second under the lap record put me in the right mindset to win the first race, my third national victory in four races. Congratulations to Chris Middlehurst for winning Race 2, it was a hugely exciting race and I can’t wait to race again at Silverstone.”

Walker is sponsored by Bedford based Cambria Wealth Management.
