Bedford Judo Club junior Laura becomes one of UK’s youngest black belts

Laura Allen became one of the youngest judo black belts in the country, aged just 15 years, two months, and six days.

After winning the first two fights at her first grading, the Bedford Judo Club junior then beat three further opponents to achieve first Dan level.

She also earned the Madjid Shield from her club for an outstanding year which also included a gold medal at the National Schools Championships, as well as for coaching and as a role model.
